World #2 Roger Federer won another the Qatar ExxonMobil Open trophy beating 2010 champion Nikolay Davydenko 63 64 in the title match of the MEN’S ATP event in Doha.

Federer seized the championship for the 3rd time, post consecutive victories in 2005 and 2006, making Federer the lone three-time winner in event. The victory marked 67 ATP wins for Roger, who picked up 250 Computer points and $177, 000 in prize money.

Furthermore, the win in Qatar offers Raja the ideal possible planning for the Melbourne Australian Open, which begins quickly. The Basel native is the 2010 champion in Melbourne as he searches for a 17th Slam singles triumph.

The second seed Federer was tight on serve during the event, only getting broken one time in 42 service games to attain the title match, and was just as remarkable against Nikolay. Fed did not face a break point and won 79 percent of first serve pts.

The basel native made a fast start to the affair, rushing to a 3-0 advantage before ending out the first set on serve. The russian was pressured to generate close to his best tennis to stay in the game with Federer in the second set, but his challenge went pear shaped in the ninth game as Fed broke at love before wrapping up the trophy in An 1:19. Roger is now 23-3 at the tournament.

And so Raja is victorious! Good news!
